How Florida's Choice text messages work, who gets them and how to stop them.

Texts for homeowners
When you request a quote, you can tick a box to get a text confirming your request. The box is never pre-ticked, and you don't need it to send a request. It says:
Text me a confirmation of this request from Florida's Choice. One message per request. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
We save that wording with your request as the record of your consent. Message frequency: one message per request.
Texts for businesses
Businesses on the card get a text for each new quote request, sent to the number they give in their signed advertising agreement. Message frequency varies with the number of requests.
STOP and HELP
- Reply STOP to stop all texts from us. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT and REVOKE work too. You'll get one text confirming it, and we won't text that number again unless you reply START.
- Reply START (or YES, or UNSTOP) to allow texts again.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your phone number
We don't share your phone number or your consent with anyone for their marketing. The business you send a request to receives your phone number as part of the request, so it can contact you. See our privacy policy.
