Frequently asked questions

For homeowners

Who gets the card?
Every home on the mail routes of the neighborhood pack being mailed, in Clermont, FL 34715.
Does it cost anything to request a quote?
No. Requesting a quote through Florida's Choice is free, with no obligation.
What does vetted mean?
Vetted means current license where required (checked with Florida DBPR), active liability insurance, and a Google rating of 4.5 or higher. A business can go on a card only when all three checks pass and each is under 90 days old. Every business is re-checked before every mailing, and its page shows the date each check was last verified. See how we vet businesses.
Do businesses pay to be on the card?
Businesses pay to advertise, but they can't pay to get in. Every business must pass vetting first, and is re-checked before every mailing.
What happens when I send a request?
It goes straight to the business you chose, by text message and email, and they'll contact you soon. We don't send it to any other business.
Why does the QR code open a web page?
Every ad on the card has its own QR code, which opens that business's page. We count the scans, so the business gets an honest report of what its ad brought in.
Will you text me?
Only if you tick the box on the quote form, which is never pre-ticked: one confirmation per request. Reply STOP to opt out. See our SMS terms.
What do you do with my information?
Your request goes to the business you chose and to no other business. We never store your IP address, only a one-way hash of it. See our privacy policy.
How do I report a problem with a business?
Use the Report a problem form. Your report goes straight to Florida's Choice.

For businesses

How does a business get on the card?
It applies for its category and must pass vetting first. Each card has one business per category.
What does vetting check?
Vetted means current license where required (checked with Florida DBPR), active liability insurance, and a Google rating of 4.5 or higher. See the exact thresholds.
Is this junk mail?
It's one jumbo postcard of vetted local businesses, one per category, and the card prints what vetted means. Vetted means current license where required (checked with Florida DBPR), active liability insurance, and a Google rating of 4.5 or higher.
Will I compete on the card?
Not with anyone in your category. Each card has one business per category, so once your category is taken on a mailing, no other business in it can be added to that card.
How much does a slot cost?
See pricing and availability, with the categories still open in each neighborhood pack.
How do leads reach me?
Each quote request from your page comes straight to you by text message and email. Tell us if you want only one of them.
What will my results report show?
Thirty days after the card lands: QR scans, page visits, form leads and call taps, counted by us and not estimated. How we measure results.
What if I'm not approved?
Then your ad doesn't go on the card. Businesses pay to advertise, but they can't pay to get in. Every business must pass vetting first, and is re-checked before every mailing. You can apply again for a later mailing once every check passes.
